The home is a short distance away from the market place, shops, banks, post office and other amenities including the library and the parish church.
We aim to provide help and support to the degree needed. Prior to admission, everyone is assessed by the manager or her deputy, to ensure we are able to meet their personal and social needs. Care plans are completed on admission with family history and other relevant information, which is continually reviewed.
Our staff are chosen carefully and receive full in-service and external training. All senior carers have their NVQ 2 or 3 in care. 90% of other care staff have their NVQ 2 in care whilst the other 10% have commenced their NVQ training. All domestic and laundry staff have their NVQ 2 in cleaning and support services. The registered manager has almost completed her Registered Managers Award (RMA)
The accommodation consists of both single and shared flatlets attached to the main house and single and shared rooms in the main house.
We encourage independence and the flatlets are ideal for this with their own kitchen (no cooking facilities) thus enabling residents to make their own drinks should they wish to do so.
Adderley House Residential Home is visited weekly by the G.P. The chiropodist and optician visit regularly and the hairdresser visits twice a week. The residents may keep their own hairdresser, chiropodist, optician and dentist should they wish to do so. We have one mini bus that is used for regular outings to various places requested by the residents.
Meals are prepared daily by experienced catering staff. We provide good wholesome food made with fresh vegetables and fruit and special dietary requirements are catered for.
The home welcomes any relatives or visitors at any time of the day.
If you require more information on the home, the services offered by the home or require a viewing please contact the manager of Adderley House Residential Home for a full welcome pack.
